Rick Grote Richard F. Grote, Ph.D., CHMM. Has held the position of Industrial Pollution Prevention Specialist for both the University of Wisconsin-Extension and the Texas Natural Resource Conservation Commission. The work involved the transfer of technologies and techniques between industry and government agencies to reduce pollutants being released into the environment. Through the development of training programs as well as one-on-one assessments, the programs have saved companies millions of dollars while reducing millions of tons of hazardous waste and other environmental impacts. He has also been associated with the Manufacturing Extension Partnership out of the Department of Commerce, the National Pollution Prevention Roundtable and ChemAlliance, an EPA sponsored website (www.chemalliance.org <http://www.chemalliance.org/> ) for environmental compliance information targeted to small chemical manufacturers and distributors. Prior to this work he also taught Chemistry and Physics at small colleges. |
